Last Thursday, October 20th, we had the pleasure of hosting the 28th annual Danberry Treasure Chest Auction and Dinner. The event was held at Glass City Center, Toledo's brand new, stunning venue in the heart of downtown. With over 550 attendees, it was an unprecedented night that raised $89,886.10 from the Treasure Chest and a direct donation from Buffalo Wild Wings to the ProMedica Foundation for $28,088.71, making the total contribution $117,947.81.
With the help of many local businesses, The Danberry Treasure Chest has raised nearly $1.7 million and provided support to more than 1,100 local families since 1994. Proceeds are administered by the ProMedica Toledo Children's Hospital Foundation and assist families with critically ill children. When serious illness strikes a family member, words simply cannot describe the emotional roller coaster it creates, particularly when the patient is a child. Many times, families experience emergency situations and lack the financial resources to promptly address the issue. The Danberry Treasure Chest was created to provide emergency funds to families in those times of need.
